China Threatens to Withhold COVID-19 Vaccine

The world is currently dealing with the threat of the Coronavirus, and China has hinted that they may have a life-saving drug as the virus continues to spread throughout the globe.

However, they Communist country has also hinted that they will deny Americans from using that drug.

This comes after Xinhua, which is the state-run media agency that is known for being the mouthpiece of the Communist party of China, reported on how the country has responded to COVID-19.

In the article, it’s mentioned that China is likely to impose pharmaceutical export control that would cause the United States to face “the mighty sea of Coronavirus.”

In an interview with Fox News this week, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) commented that America is “dangerously reliant” on China for goods, which includes technologies that are vital to combating COVID-19.

When asked “what percentage of drugs are made for America in China?” the Florida lawmaker noted just how important China is to the equation.

“Well, the truth is we don’t know the actual complete numbers. Here’s what we do know. About 80% of the active ingredients – the different components of the drug – about 80% of those come from abroad, and an overwhelming majority of that 80% are manufactured in China.”
