With Governors across the United States making announcements regarding the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines and whether or not they will comply with a state lockdown, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) is the most recent Governor to announce what his plans are in terms of distributing the COVID-19 vaccine to Texans.
In a statement, Abbot commented that “these guiding principles established by the Expert. Vaccine Allocation Panel will ensure that the State of Texas swiftly distributes the COVID-19 vaccine to Texans who voluntarily choose to be immunized.” Moreover, he clarified that “this foundation for the allocation process will help us mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, protect the most vulnerable Texans, and safeguard crucial state resources.”
