Cruz's Says COVID-19 Doom and Gloom Ends If Biden Wins

A newly-uncovered interview with Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) is being shared on social media, and the Senator is receiving criticism from Democrats for his comments regarding the election and COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, President Trump (R) has engaged in the process of contesting the results of the 2020 election, and the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect Americans’ lives. In addition, an important discussion taking place in the political arena is also the proper response that states and the federal government should take in response to the pandemic.

The interview clip being shared on social media, which is taken from a July 22nd interview, shows the Lone Star state lawmaker admitting that “if it ends up that Biden wins in November… I guarantee you the week after the election suddenly all those Democratic Governors, all those Democratic Mayors will say everything’s magically better. Go back to work; Go back to school. Suddenly the problems are solved.”

Senator Cruz assured that “you won’t even have to wait for Biden to be sworn in” because “all they’ll need is election day and suddenly their willingness to just destroy people’s lives and livelihood” will be over because “they will have accomplished their task.”

In turn, the division between Republicans and Democrats has only grown as they remain at odds with each other on matters regarding voter fraud, COVID-19 relief for Americans and whether family members should gather for Thanksgiving dinner.

Considering that Thanksgiving is this week, Democratic Governors such as California’s Governor Newsom (D) and New York’s Governor Cuomo (D) have doubled-down on urging Americans to not gather for Thanksgiving family dinners, and Senator Cruz has vocally opposed this request from the Democratic lawmakers. This concluded with him sharing an image with a turkey on it and the words "come and take it" on his Twitter account.
