After Senator Kamala Harris (D) commented on Americans not receiving COVID-19 relief, a number of prominent Republicans have responded, accusing Democrats of stalling a package from getting to Americans.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R), who has criticized the Biden-Harris ticket, responded by telling Harris to stop Senator Chuck Schumer (D) from blocking the package that Republicans have proposed.
Now, Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) has also aimed some words at Senator Harris, responding to her on social media by saying “Senator I know you’ve been busy with the election, but your party BLOCKED a vote on relief for small businesses.”
The sophomore Republican congressman called for her to “stop the lies, stop the grandstanding, stop the platitudes,” adding that she should “put people above politics for once and help American families.”
Democrats have also called for lawmakers to come to an agreement on an effective COVID-19 relief package, and one such lawmaker is Rep. Al Green (D), the first lawmaker to call for President Trump (R) to be impeached.
On social media, the lawmaker commented that “small businesses have suffered tremendously in the wake of” the coronavirus pandemic. As a result, Green urged for lawmakers to do their part “to ensure our favorite small businesses are able to keep their doors/websites open” by shopping with them over the weekend.
Dubbed Small Businesses Saturday, lawmakers and Americans reminded that small businesses have been greatly impacted during the coronavirus pandemic, and they assured that getting some "Black Friday" shopping done at small businesses would be of great service to the community.
