Crenshaw: Trump Administered Biden's Vaccination Goal

Jeffrey Zients, the White House coronavirus coordinator, announced that President Joe Biden (D) is nearing his goal of administering 100 million vaccinations to combat the COVID-19 crisis. In a press briefing conducted on Wednesday, Zients commented that “we’ve been making steady progress over the past few weeks: getting more vaccine supply, getting more vaccinators on the ground and creating more places to get vaccinated.” Zients added that they were “on track to meet the president’s goal of delivering 100 million" vaccinations in his first 100 days in office.

As COVID-19 cases continue to skyrocket in a number of states, President Biden has remained committed to curbing the spread of COVID-19. However, he caused some controversy at the end of last month when he commented that “there’s nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months.” This came as a shock to some as the President had largely made a distinction between him and President Trump, arguing that his plan would do what the Trump administration had not done to effectively combat the crisis.

In continuing his effort, though the Biden administration is praising the efforts, lawmakers like Dan Crenshaw (R) are expressing their support for the work laid out by the Trump administration.

“Biden on track to meet *Trump’s* goal of 1M COVID shots a day, a goal Trump met before Biden even took office,” he shared on Twitter.

He added that this was an example of the “media perfectly happy feeding Biden’s plagiarism habit.”

In recent weeks, lawmakers have been vocal regarding the media, arguing that the media is biased toward the Biden administration as President Trump faces a trial over his second impeachment.
