Texas Representatives Sylvia Garcia (D), Joaquin Castro (D) and Roland Gutierrez (D) recently visited the border to view the “inhumane” tactics deployed by the Abbott administration.
“I’m here at Heavenly Farms with @JoaquinCastrotx as we witnessed the razor wires and buoys that has been implemented by @GovAbbott. This inhumane, barbaric, and ungodly! We need to act now before lives are lost.”
In the video, Rep. Garcia showed viewers the wires and buoys present at the border, as well as the torn cloth of a presumed migrant’s clothing.
The Texas congresswoman was joined at the border by Rep. Castro.
"You can see just the inhumanity here. You see clothes of people that are stuck here on the razor wire.”
He continued, sharing about how he was told “about seeing kids with their families who are struggling from dehydration” and “passing out.”
Rep. Castro characterized Governor Abbott’s (R) actions as “barbaric” as he detailed the dead body that was stuck to one of the buoys placed by the Abbott administration.
“We can not just wait for bodies to be found,” added Rep. Garcia.
State Sen. Gutierrez joined his fellow representatives at the border and lamented the use of dangerous tactics to stop immigration.
“I came to the Eagle Pass to see firsthand what is happening at our border. We need real solutions to immigration issues, not death traps that only reinforce the cruelty at the border.”
Gov. Abbott responded to reports about the two dead bodies at the border, claiming that Texas did not cause them. However, he did not go into detail.
“What this story doesn’t tell you is that I informed Biden almost a year ago about Texas’s constitutional authority to secure the border. It also ignores the fact that the bouys used by Texas did not cause the drowning of the 2 bodies. Facts matter.”
In other news, in an interview with Fox News, Texas Congresswoman Beth Van Duyne (R) attacked the Department of Justice (DOJ) for allegedly “protecting” Hunter Biden and the Biden family.
In a tweet, she stated that the actions of the DOJ have been going on for some time.
“The Department of Justice has done everything they can to protect the Biden family’s corrupt business dealings for YEARS and continues to do so,” said Rep. Van Duyne.
