New Info Shows Hamas was Planning Larger Attack

A recent article by the Washington Post details newly unearthed information that shows evidence that the terrorist organization Hamas was planning a larger attack against Israel.

The article states that orders instructing Hamas militants to "Kill as many people and take as many hostages as possible" were found in a notebook. The militants were said to have large quantities of food, ammunition and supplies on them to survive in Israel as they conducted their raids.

On Oct. 7, Hamas brutally attacked Israel, killing over 1,400 people and taking hundreds of hostages. However, it has been revealed that the terrorist group attempted to expand the attack much further.

According to two senior Middle Eastern intelligence officials and a U.S. official, the attack was slated to go all the way to the West Bank. Hamas intended to use the West Bank attack as propaganda to rally West Bank militants.

"If that had occurred, it would have been a huge propaganda win -- a symbolic blow not only against Israel but also against the Palestinian authority," said the U.S. official.

Propaganda has been a major tactic in the war as several protests have occurred across America, with some calling for a temporary ceasefire to get aid to Gazans, and others becoming Hamas sympathizers.

As the war between Israel and Hamas continues, Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah has threatened to involve itself in the war further. Furthermore, Nasrallah stated that the Lebanese militia was actively fighting Israeli troops at the Israel-Lebanon border.

Hezbollah is a Shia Islamist political party and militant group and is one of Israel's opposing military forces. The militia has spent the last few weeks firing rockets at Israel, hitting Israeli military targets and -- according to the Israeli military -- killing seven soldiers and one civilian.

“Some say I’m going to announce that we have entered the battle,” said Nasrallah. “We already entered the battle on Oct. 8.”

Nasrallah has made public statements praising the Hamas invasion that killed 1,400 people, and Hamas has made repeated requests for Hezbollah to fully involve itself in the war.

In response to Nasrallah's threatening statements, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned the Hezbollah leader, stating, “Don’t test us.” He continued by saying that Israel would "exact a price you can’t even imagine."
