Nikki Haley Calls Biden 'Too Old'

In a recent campaign ad, Nikki Haley (R) forewent attacking her fellow GOP competitors and, instead, opted to call President Joe Biden (D) "too old."

“I’ll just say it: Biden’s too old,” said the former South Carolina governor.

As of one month ago, Biden is 81 years old. His age and cadence have often been a target for Republican detractors who seek to portray him as senile and unfit for current office. These claims often gloss over the fact that former president and current presidential candidate Donald Trump (R) is 77 years old.

Biden, despite being labeled as "too old", has pushed through several legislative measures. One of his biggest bills was the Inflation Reduction Act which spawned much acclaim among Democrats for including much-desired provisions. Furthermore, the bill passed with bipartisan support.

According to polls, Haley is second behind Trump in the Republican primaries. However, she has continued to make gains in recent polls.

Several GOP lawmakers have continued to attack the president for his actions and policies regarding border security. His critics state that he has not done enough to stop the influx of migrants crossing the border.

Texas Representative Beth Van Duyne (R) went after the Biden administration for its actions regarding the ongoing issue of border security.

"Make no mistake: Texas is on the front line of Biden and Mayorkas’ border disaster. Not only are Mexican cartels in control of our southern border, but they’re supported by the Biden Administration’s taxpayer-funded transportation. Mayorkas’ DHS operation has ushered in a new era of human slavery in America," said Rep. Van Duyne.

Similarly, Texas Representative Greg Abbott (R) released a statement criticizing President Joe Biden's (D) border legislation as well as touting Operation Lone Star.

“On day one in office, President Biden reversed the successful border security policies put in place under President Trump. Since then, Texas has stepped up to hold the line against illegal crossings, cartel gangs, and human smuggling.”
