Wesley Hunt Receives Trump's 'Powerful' Endorsement

Representative Wesley Hunt (R-TX) has received an endorsement from former President Donald Trump (R) as he looks to seek reelection in the Lone Star State’s 38th District.

On the former President’s social media site, Truth Social, he announced his endorsement of Rep. Hunt and said that he is doing “a fantastic job” in Congress.

“Congressman Wesley Hunt is an America First Conservative who is doing a fantastic job representing Texas’ 38th Congressional District! A West Point Graduate, who bravely flew Apache helicopters in combat, Wesley served our Nation with Great Honor and Distinction. In Congress, he is fighting to Secure the Border, Champion American Energy, Defend the Second Amendment, and Support our Military, Veterans, and Law Enforcement,” said Trump.

“An original Member of my Texas Elected Leadership Team, Congressman Wesley Hunt has my Complete and Total Endorsement!”

Rep. Hunt thanked Trump for the endorsement and said that serving Texas’ 38th District is the “greatest honor” of his life.

“Thank you Mr. President for this powerful endorsement. It’s the greatest honor of my life to continue fighting for the people of #TX38 and for our country. The people of Texas know that there’s one man who can save America from the brink of disaster and it’s you. Looking forward to working with you when you’re our Commander in Chief in 2025,” said Hunt.

The Texas congressman recently commented on the growing tensions between the United States and Iran as the Middle Eastern nation has grown bolder in the past few weeks.

Hunt asserted that this behavior would not be happening if former President Trump still sat at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office instead of President Joe Biden (D).

“Would Iran behave this way if President Trump were still in office? Ask Qasem Soleimani. Oh, that’s right you can’t, because he’s dead. Ask Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Oh, you can’t ask him either, because, ‘he died like a dog.’ Here’s the God’s honest truth, and I know it makes some people uncomfortable, but Americans would stop dying if we had a President who made our enemies fear us. Donald Trump did that,” said Rep. Hunt.

Hunt won his election in 2022 by 27.5 points.
