Trump Calls Super Tuesday Landslide a 'Big One'

Super Tuesday continues to unfold, and so far, President Donald Trump (R) has secured a landslide victory. Inching closer to the necessary number of delegates to clinch the Republican nomination, Ambassador Nikki Haley (R) has not announced that she will be suspending her campaign. Speaking to supporters, President Trump celebrated his Super Tuesday victories, calling the night a “big one.”

Appearing in front of Supporters at Mar-a-Lago around 10:15 P.M. President Trump celebrated the results of the night, saying that "they call it Super Tuesday for a reason. This is a big one."

He went on to call his victories over the course of the night "inspiring because we're gonna do something that, quite frankly, nobody's been able to do in a long time."

Pundits are calling his speech "the first general election speech," and it rings true as President Trump did not mention Ambassador Haley. Instead, he focused on President Joe Biden (D), saying that his poll numbers "are so much higher" than the incumbent's number as well as calling him "the worst president in the history of our country."

In his speech, the Republican challenger also commented on concerns regarding the border. Taking a political swipe at Arizona and California, saying that "their governors are doing nothing" about illegal immigrants "flooding" into their states, he expressed that "open borders are going to destroy our country."

Earlier in the night, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) spoke to NBC News. He sounded the alarm on the souther border, assuring that President Trump will once again take the White House because he's committed to "securing the border." "We have a disaster on our hands," Governor Abbott warned, affirming that President Trump's "premiere top job is to secure the border."

Governor Abbott, who's been floated as a possible Vice Presidential candidate, was asked about the possibility of joining President Trump. However, he downplayed the possibility, calling President Trump "kind" for suggesting such a thing and assuring Texans that his priority is "governing the great state of Texas."
