Cruz Predicts Border Crossings Will Decrease Closer to Election Day

Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) appeared on Fox News and predicted that border crossings will go down and gas prices will continue to remain lower than they’ve been during President Joe Biden’s (D) administration as the November election is just months away.

With President Biden’s executive order concerning the border expected to be signed on Tuesday, Republicans such as Sen. Cruz and Rep. Laurel Lee (R-FL) have blasted Biden for his inaction during his term in office.

Sen. Cruz shared his prediction on Monday.

“This immigration order that’s coming tomorrow, Joe Biden’s going to stand up and say, ‘We’re securing the border.’ And you know what? I’m going to predict in the next five months, we’re actually going to see the border numbers go down a little bit,” said Cruz.

He continued, “Now, don’t be deceived by that. It’s just like the gasoline prices going down a little bit. They’re doing this right before the election. They’re doing it so the useful idiots in the corporate media will say, ‘Gosh, Biden solved the problem. Nothing else to worry about here.’ It is entirely fake. And we had 11 million people invade this country because Joe Biden and the Democrats want 11 million people to invade this country.”

Similarly, Rep. Lee appeared on Fox Business’s “Mornings with Maria” on Monday to discuss President Joe Biden’s (D) possible moves to address the border crisis as well.

Her message is that no matter what the President does, it’s “too little, too late.”

“Whatever President Biden is going to do tomorrow; he had the authority to do three and a half years ago,” said Rep. Lee. “Instead, he did the opposite and implemented policies and allowed this utter lawlessness at our southern border that has led to where we are today with millions of people coming into this country illegally and the myriad of problems that we see to America as a consequence of that.”

Rep. Lee continued, “So whatever it is that he intends to do, it is too little, too late and certainly appears to be only in response to the outrage of everyday Americans at the nature and the extent of this crisis.”
