Cruz Believes Biden is 'Severely Mentally Diminished'

Republicans are growing increasingly concerned over President Joe Biden's (D) cognitive state, but Democrats argue that there's nothing to worry about. Democrats dismiss the concerns as an example of Republicans having no platform to present to the American people. Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) believes others regarding President Biden, warning that he "is severely mentally diminished."

Given the president's recent gaffes, Florida Rep. Byron Donalds (R) commented today that the president's cognitive ability has been on the decline, which puts the United States in danger. This, he argues, could be affecting the country as far as political deals are concerned.

Expressing that President Biden is supposed to be the leader of the country, yet "nobody really sees much of him until he's prepped to be in public," Rep. Donalds shared that the president's presence is "not a good look for our country." He added that listening to the president speak "does not build confidence" in the American.

In an exclusive interview with Texas Politics, Senator Cruz shared similar concerns over the president's cognitive abilities, commenting that "anyone with two eyes knows that President Biden is severely mentally diminished."

"We've all known President Biden for years. He's been a man of the Senate, and he's not the same man he used to be," Senator Cruz continued.

"Old age comes for all of us, but, in Joe Biden's case, it has come rapidly and ferociously, and it's dangerous because our enemies are looking at a commander in chief who, often, it seems has little or no awareness of what's going on around him. That puts our country at a lot greater risk."

President Biden has responded to comments of his age and mental cognizance by maintaining that there's nothing to worry about. However, recent mishaps in public have raised concerns among critics and political pundits alike.
