President Donald Trump
Over the past couple of weeks, there has been an assassination attempt against President Donald Trump (R), President Joe Biden (R) was stricken with COVID-19, and all signs point to President Trump winning another term in office. As calls for President Biden to drop out of the race intensify among Democrats given his health concerns, congressional hopeful Ronny Jackson (R) is putting to rest any questions surrounding President Trump’s health.
Rep. Jackson, the former physician to President Trump during his first term in office has been closely monitoring the president after the assassination attempt.
In a statement, Jackson described the injury the president experienced after the assassination attempt.
“The bullet passed, coming less than a quarter of an inch from entering his head, and struck the top of his right ear,” Jackson explained. “The bullet track produced a 2 cm wide wound that extended down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear.” The wound has begun to heal properly, and “based on the highly vascular nature of the ear, there is still intermittent bleeding requiring a dressing to be in place.”
Before Jackson administered his help, President Trump was treated by medical staff in Butler Memorial Hospital in Butler, Pennsylvania, and the president is expected to undergo “further evaluations, including a comprehensive hearing exam, as needed.”
“Former President Trump is doing well, and he is recovering as expected from the gunshot wound sustained last Saturday afternoon,” Jackson updated.
The congressional candidate will be in Grand Rapids, Michigan with the president to “remain at his side” and assist in any way he can.
Despite the assassination attempt, the president appeared all four nights of the Republican National Convention, and he has seen a significant increase in support in national polls.
