Pfluger Sounds the Alarm After China Unveils 6th Generation Fighter Plane

Former Air Force Pilot and current congressman – Representative August Pfluger (R-TX) – sounded the alarm after seeing videos of China’s sixth-generation aircraft displayed in the skies. You can see a video and pictures of the new technology below:

Rep. Pfluger shared that the footage of the aircraft is “highly concerning” and called on President Joe Biden (D) to reinstate the Next Generation Air Dominance (NGAD) program immediately. The program, if reinstated, intends to replace the F-22 (5th-generation fighter plane).

“As a former Air Force pilot, I find footage of China testing its sixth-generation fighter highly concerning,” said Rep. Pfluger. “If the Biden Administration’s decision to pause NGAD is not reversed, we will lose the tactical advantage. We must maintain air superiority in the event of a future conflict.”

The Texas congressman continued, accusing President Biden of “abandoning national security” by failing to keep up in the skies internationally.

“News of a Chinese 6th Gen fighter should be a wake up call to every American. The Biden Administration has completely abandoned national security. AirPower is the foundation of deterrence and we must re-focus our efforts in modernizing our Air Force including acquiring a 6th generation fighter. The lack of urgency from this administration is wholly unacceptable,” said Pfluger.

Before the election, Pfluger told Texas Politics that the media was colluding with the Democrat Party to push negative coverage of President Trump.

“It's part of their overall strategy to use the media the hatred for Trump, the hatred for anything that he did. You can look at January of 2021, as the exact example where they reversed every single policy on the border, every single energy policy. It doesn't matter what they call it. They just have a hatred for Trump, and I think we're hitting an act of desperation,” said Rep. Pfluger.

With President-elect Donald Trump (R) assuming the Oval Office in less than a month, perhaps the NGAD program could get kicked back into high gear as the 45th President has stated he wants to revamp the military.
