Uproar After Anti-Semitic Shooting in Washington DC

A shooting perpetrated by a pro-Palestine activist recently killed a young couple working for the Israeli embassy.

Israel embassy staff Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn were murdered in front of the Capital Jewish Museum by Elias Rodriguez, who shouted “Free Palestine” during the assassination.

The murder has festered tensions over the increasingly intensifying Israel-Hamas war.

Lawmakers have denounced the shooting as unacceptable anti-semitism and hatred.

President Donald Trump lamented the murder and described it as “based obviously on antisemitism.”

“Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA,” continued President Trump.

The Trump administration has promised it will hold Rodriguez and all involved in the murder accountable.

State Secretary Marco Rubio condemned the event “in the strongest possible terms.”

“This was a brazen act of cowardly, antisemitic violence,” said Secretary Rubio. “Make no mistake: we will track down those responsible and bring them to justice.”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem echoed Rubio’s comments, explaining that the federal government is “actively investigating and working to get more information” on the murder.

“We will bring this depraved perpetrator to justice,” promised Secretary Noem.

Congress members from both parties have repudiated the attack, except for some pro-Palestine Democrats.

Recently elected Representative Randy Fine (R-FL) called the murder “Muslim” terror and argued the pro-Palestinian movement must be halted “by any means necessary.”

Florida Democrat Representatives Jared Moskowitz and Debbie Wasserman Schultz similarly condemned the attack.

Representative Moskowitz classified the shooting as “hatred” and argued that “we are not doing enough” to combat anti-semitism.

Similarly, Representative Schultz expounded that “we must do all we can” to combat antisemitism.

“Antisemitic violence and hatred have no place in America and we must do all we can to fight it and keep our Jewish communities safe,” said Schultz.
