Aaron Reitz Announces Texas Attorney General Bid

Aaron Reitz (R), a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and longtime conservative legal strategist, has officially launched his bid for Texas Attorney General. Reitz pledges to be an unrelenting defender of conservative values and a staunch ally of President Donald Trump (R).

Reitz’s background includes serving as the top legal strategist under current Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), Chief of Staff to Senator Ted Cruz (R), and a senior legal policy official under President Trump’s Department of Justice.

His campaign launch presented him as the battle-hardened successor to Attorney General Paxton’s abrasive style, promising to escalate legal fights on issues ranging from immigration to election integrity.

"We are in a fight for the soul of Texas, our nation, and Western civilization itself," Reitz declared. "This is no time for half-measures or untested cowards... If we lose Texas, we lose the Republic."

In his announcement, he outlined a sweeping agenda that includes executing mass deportations, challenging progressive district attorneys, confronting “woke indoctrination,” rooting out election fraud, and defending constitutional rights.

“I’ll unleash Texas energy, confront Big Tech tyranny, expose Big Pharma’s lies, protect our children, uphold the sanctity of life, defend the Second Amendment, and put the full force of the law in support of cops — not leftist mobs,” he claimed.

Presenting himself as “battle-tested,” Reitz cited his role in major legal efforts under Attorney General Paxton and Senator Cruz, including post-2020 election litigation.

“Texans deserve a lawyer and leader who has fought back against the radical Left in state and federal courts,” he said, noting that top Democrats have labeled him a “danger to the rule of law.”

His announcement also came with praise from President Trump, who in 2024, said that “Aaron is a true MAGA attorney [and] a warrior for our Constitution.”

Reitz now faces state Senator Mayes Middleton (R), who has drawn widespread support, in the primary.
