Cardi B Endorses Jasmine Crockett for U.S. Senate

Texans are heading to the polls ahead of the March 3 Texas primary, and Cardi B is urging voters to back Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) for U.S. Senate.

Rep. Crockett plans to unseat Senator John Cornyn (R-TX) from his Texas senate seat, but before she can do so, she must defeat State Representative James Talarico (D-TX) in the Democratic Primary. Senator Cornyn is facing his own primary challenge as both Attorney General Ken Paxton and Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX) are trying to make sure that he doesn't make it to the November election as the incumbent.

Taking to social media to share her thoughts on the Texas senate race, Cardi B, the American rapper, shared a glowing endorsement for Rep. Crockett.

“We need Jasmine Crockett to win," she said in a video shared on social media. "If you want somebody that’s gonna fight for your rights, if you want somebody to fight for your community, if you want somebody that’s gonna go out there and represent you and represent your issues, please vote for my sister Jasmine Crockett," Cardi B highlighted.

The endorsement comes as Nicki Minaj, an American rapper who has feuded with Cardi B in the past, has closely aligned herself with both President Donald Trump and the Republican Party. While Minaj has praised President Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance, she has not formally made any endorsements in the lead up to the 2026 midterm elections.

Could she endorse a Republican in the upcoming Texas senate race? Anything's possible in the political world, and an endorsement could further spark the Hip-Hop rivalry between the two.

Cardi B is no stranger to American politics as she has shared glowing endorsements for both Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and Vice President Kamala Harris in the past.

Sharing the video of Cardi B's endorsement, Attorney General Paxton signaled that he's "Team @NICKIMINAJ" all the way.
