Sen. John Cornyn and AG Ken Paxton Head to Run-Off Election

As expected, the Republican Senate primary election between Sen. John Cornyn, Attorney General Ken Paxton, and Rep. Wesley Hunt will go to to a run-off election, as both Sen. Cornyn and AG Paxton both failed to reached the mandatory  50 percent vote threshold in the primary election.

Sen. Cornyn and AG Paxson garnered 41.9 and 40.8 percent of the vote, respectively.

Rep. Hunt, finished a distant third place with 13.8 percent.

Sen. Cornyn and AG Paxson will not face off in the May 26 run-off election.
