TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Republican Party of Florida officially endorsed Wilton Simpson for re-election as Florida Commissioner of Agriculture Tuesday night following overwhelming support from members of the State Executive Committee and a unanimous recommendation from the Republican Party of Florida Executive Board earlier this month.
A lifelong conservative leader, farmer, and former President of the Florida Senate, Commissioner Simpson has built a record of results fighting for Florida families, protecting agriculture, defending constitutional freedoms, and keeping Florida the nation’s leading example of conservative governance. Endorsed by President Donald Trump and supported by conservative leaders across the state, Simpson has championed Florida’s farmers and ranchers, protected Florida land from foreign adversaries, cracked down on illegal THC products targeting children, strengthened Second Amendment protections, and delivered major victories for conservation and public safety.
“Wilton Simpson is one of the most effective conservative leaders Florida has ever produced,” said Evan Power. “From helping lead Florida through the pandemic as Senate President to delivering major wins for agriculture, conservation, public safety, and our constitutional freedoms as Agriculture Commissioner, Wilton has consistently fought for the people of Florida and delivered real results. The Republican Party of Florida is proud to stand alongside President Trump in endorsing Wilton Simpson for re-election, and we look forward to helping him continue his outstanding service to our state.”
