Florida GOP Applauds Passage of Property Tax Relief Proposal

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida GOP applauds the Florida House and Senate for passing a constitutional amendment proposal that will give Florida voters the opportunity to deliver meaningful property tax relief for homeowners this November. The measure is part of a broader effort to address affordability and ensure that hardworking Florida families can keep more of what they earn.

“Republicans are laser-focused on making Florida more affordable for families,” said Florida GOP Chairman Evan Power. “As costs continue to rise across the country, Florida Republicans are leading the way by pursuing meaningful property tax reform, lowering the burden on homeowners, and limiting the growth of government.”

“For years, Florida has been the national model for conservative leadership, low taxes, and economic freedom. Today’s action continues that tradition and represents another important step toward providing long-term relief for homeowners while protecting Florida’s economic strength and quality of life.”

The Florida GOP thanks Governor Ron DeSantis, Senate President Ben Albritton, Speaker Daniel Perez, and members of the Legislature for working together to advance solutions that put taxpayers first and keep Florida the most affordable and prosperous state in the nation.
