Senator John Cornyn (R) announced that a provision from his Renewed Hope Act has been signed into law, providing $108.5 million to strengthen federal efforts to identify and rescue child victims of online sexual exploitation.
The provision signed into law as part of the Secure America Act is designed to enhance the Department of Homeland Security's ability to identify, rescue, and protect children who are victims of online sexual exploitation while helping law enforcement investigate and prosecute offenders.
According to Cornyn's office, the provision allocates $108.5 million to support victim identification efforts and strengthen investigations involving Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

The provision also supports advanced training and technology designed to improve victim identification efforts as criminals increasingly use artificial intelligence and other emerging technologies.

Sen. Cornyn continued: "My legislation will equip law enforcement with the resources needed to confront the evolving digital threat landscape, bring offenders to justice, and safeguard children from the horrors of exploitation and abuse."
