President Trump sent threats to Iran on Sunday, following continued fighting in Lebanon and the re-closing of the Strait of Hormuz last week.
What did the President say?
"Iran must immediately stop their highly paid PROXIES in Lebanon from causing trouble. If they don’t, we’ll hit Iran very hard again, just like we did last week, only harder!!!" Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz again after Israel continued strikes in Lebanon.
The Strait had multiple conditions, one of which would open the passage. However, both the U.S. and Iran, and both their allies, must end all hostilities during the 60-day negotiation period, which was disrupted by Israel last week.
Fighting in the Middle East almost saw an end with negotiations between the U.S. and Iran working for weeks.
Now, President Trump is threatening to "hit Iran very hard again".
