TEXAS CAPITAL
Following the Republican Party state convention, the Texas GOP announced eight legislative priorities likely to be of focus in the 90th session in 2027.
These eight issues, among others, rose to the top of delegate voting, however, the list is still awaiting formal review, according to a letter obtained by Texas Scorecard from new Chair D’rinda Randall sent to State Republican Executive Committee members.
What are these eight priorities?
The rest of the issues listed in the Temporary Legislative Priorities Report are available on the GOP website, with subsections explaining what core reforms the legislature may focus on.
Although the full legislative report is still awaiting final review, these eight issues remained at the top of discussion and are likely to be debated in 2027.
