Tom Homan Reveals ICE Looking for Illegal Immigrant CDL Drivers at Weigh Stations

Border Czar Tom Homan revealed Tuesday that federal agents are now searching weigh stations to find illegal immigrant CDL drivers.

Why are they searching weigh stations?

Recently, the Trump administration has been cracking down on Commercial Drivers' Licenses (CDLs) being given to illegal immigrants in the U.S. and weigh stations gives federal agents an opportunity to search CDL drivers.

What did Homan say?

  • "We got a lot of people we're looking for, actually some states we're actually working weigh stations with the troopers trying to get these people that are coming through."
  • "It's a work in progress. President Trump is serious about this. ICE is out there with local law enforcement and state law enforcement, wherever they will allow us to work with them to ID people and take them off the street."

Over 28,000 commercial drivers' licenses have been revoked since the beginning of the search and that number is continuing to grow.

"We got a lot of people we're looking for, actually some states we're actually working weigh stations with the troopers trying to get these people that are coming through," Homan told Fox News.

The purge of CDL drivers nationwide is part of a major crackdown nationwide by the Trump administration, looking for those who are not in the United States legally.

"It's a work in progress. President Trump is serious about this," Homan told Fox News. "ICE is out there with local law enforcement and state law enforcement, wherever they will allow us to work with them to ID people and take them off the street."

The crack down has continued into Texas, where last month, the DPS announced that all CDL exams in the state will be administered in English.

Efforts nationwide to deport illegal immigrants continue throughout the Trump administration and now federal agents are searching along the road.
