Congressman Christian Menefee (D) met with Houston-area residents to discuss rising living costs, saying families across Texas' 18th Congressional District are feeling increasing financial pressure from housing, groceries, utilities, child care, and health care expenses.
During the discussion, Rep. Menefee heard directly from constituents about the pressures they face every day, including higher grocery prices, rising rent, expensive child care, increasing electricity bills, and growing health care costs.
According to Menefee's office, families shared concerns about the increasing costs of everyday necessities, saying household budgets are becoming more difficult to manage as inflation and living expenses continue to climb.
