Jodey Arrington Touts Trump’s Manufacturing Boom Ahead of Midterms

A new report from the White House Council of Economic Advisers (CEA) shows robust job growth in the manufacturing sector, while affordability concerns continue to weigh on voters ahead of the midterm elections.

While campaigning across the country, President Donald Trump has leaned into touting the “Golden Age of America,” pointing to manufacturing gains as evidence of his administration’s economic agenda. Representative Jodey Arrington (R-TX) said this new age of job growth is a direct result of Republican leadership.

“President Trump’s America First agenda and Republican policies are spurring a resurgence of American industry,” Rep. Arrington said.

Rep. Arrington noted that Republicans have added 72,000 manufacturing jobs in 2026 and increased factory wages by 7.9%. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics also showed manufacturing employment increased by 9,000 jobs in September.

“Together, we’re ushering in the Golden Age of America,” he said.

This report comes just days before the midterm elections, in which 84% of registered voters say the cost of living is very important to their vote.

These manufacturing gains come as economic concerns remain central to the midterm campaign.

A recent Pew Research Center survey found that 84% of registered voters considered the economy very important to their vote, underscoring the political stakes of whether voters feel economic improvements in their daily lives.

With the potential of Democratic leadership in either chamber looming, Rep. Arrington compared these accomplishments to numbers under former President Joe Biden’s administration.

“Two hundred thousand manufacturing jobs were lost in the final two years of the Biden Administration due to Democrats’ burdensome regulatory regime, Green New Deal energy policies and failure to enforce free and fair trade around the world,” Rep. Arrington said.
