This "Blue Wave" that completely swept throughout Texas on Tuesday night- was it real or fabricated?
According to the official tallies in Tuesday night's contest for Texas Governor, Democrat Gina Hinojosa reportedly received 5.23 million votes against Greg Abbott's 4.5 million votes.
That's a very high total number of votes as compared to recent Texas elections- Hinojosa's total vote tally is significantly higher than both previous Democrat gubernatorial candidate Beato O'Rourke who amassed 3.55 million votes in the 2022 midterm election and; even more surprisingly previous Democratic Presidential candidate Kamala Harris who only received 4.835 million votes in the 2024 Presidential Election.
That's an increase for Hinojosa of more than 1.6 million votes than O'Rourke received in 2022 and more than 400,000 votes that Kamala Harris received in a presidential general election!
Democrat James Talarico's margin of victory in the U.S. Senate race was even more of a headscratcher, as he received 1,195,369 more votes than Republican Ken Paxton, giving Talarico a 12-point margin of victory.
All told, Democrats made gains across all 254 counties in Texas with certain border counties reporting unprecedented Democrat gains.
In a state that President Donald Trump won by 14 points in 2024 with over 6.3 million votes, Democrats swept the statewide Texas ticket for the first time since 1994 and won a US Senate race for the first time since 1988.
Historically, mid-term elections tend to work against the President and party that's in power- but a turnout increase of this scale is certainly worth a closer look to inspect whether its result was a valid reflection of the electorate or not.
Compared to previous mid-term elections, Tuesday night's GOP congressional losses were significantly lower than the midterm losses that occurred under Clinton (1994), Obama (2010) and Trump's first term in 2018.
Some more context- on Tuesday night, approximately 9.8 million Texans voted in the general election, or 51.6% of registered voters- approximately a 10 point higher turnout over the 2022 Texas midterm election.
What could have played a role in causing a shift of this magnitude?
According to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC)'s Election and Voting Survey 2024 Comprehensive Report, Texas processed over 2.9 million "new valid registrations" between 2022 and 2024 that could be obtained +without valid proof of citizenship+.
Fraud can certainly occur when these "new valid registrations" that did not verify citizenship are preloaded into any Voter Roll System.
One doesn't need to be an Internet sleuth or math expert to suspect that Tuesday night's numbers from Texas are likely quite inflated with votes that were cast by both non-residents and non-citizens.
