Dan Crenshaw: Democrats 'Just don't like you'

Washington D.C.- Between the Delta variant's rise and talks of even more mask mandates from nationwide Democrats, political polarization doesn't plan to stop anytime soon—Even President Biden (D) has taken shots at individual Americans who have not been vaccinated.  However, not every Republican has been silent, like Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) who thinks Democrats are "just mad at the American people."

After criticizing the Liberal philosophy of lockdowns and mask mandates as simply "bad science" adding that "it is almost punitive, at a national level it seems Democrats are just mad at the American people, they always are."

Rep. Crenshaw continued, "You don't act exactly the way we think you should act, you don't say the things that we think you should say, so we're going to make you do stuff and we're going to tell you how stupid you are if you disagree.'"

Rep. Crenshaw even called out the CDC claiming that "They are not following the science" since "The vaccines here are effective against transmission of even the Delta variant, they've said this."  This is the moment where Crenshaw loses it:

"They don't like you, you, the voter, they don't like you.  And here in Congress, they don't like us.  They make us go through stupid metal detectors, make us wear masks, just because they don't like us," continued the Texan. "There's really no other good reason for it." adding "They try to whitewash it with some sort of scientific nonsense, but it's not true."

Texas Politics spoke to Crenshaw today and pivoted the conversation to the ongoing border crisis, in which he has been a strong advocate of stopping.  Then, Crenshaw once again blamed Democrats for the inconsistencies on the border.

"As an American citizen there's a time period you have to have a negative COVID test to come back into the US, European travel restrictions, Canadian travel restrictions, but if you come in through the Southern Border it's fine.  Again, why do they do this?  Because they don't like you."

The Congressman elaborated "They don't like the way you wave the American flag, the way you like freedom, they don't think we should have borders.  I don't know what other reasoning it is."  Crenshaw added, "it's about power, and they probably think they can get these people to vote eventually."
