Rudy Giuliani Booked at Fulton County Jail

After turning himself in, Rudy Giuliani, lawyer to former president Donald Trump (R), was booked at the Fulton County jail.

The former New York mayor’s bond was set at $150,000, $50,000 less than Trump.

After Giuliani was booked, he stated that he was honored to be a part of the case involving charges of attempting to overturn an election.

“This indictment is a travesty. It’s an attack on -- not just me, not just President Trump, not just the people in this indictment, some of whom I don’t even know – this is an attack on the American people,” said Guiliani.

Giuliani is one of 19 defendants who were charged in Georgia.

Trump's indictment was his fourth. After losing the 2020 presidential election to President Joe Biden (D), Trump made several statements to his supporters claiming to have won.

The specific charges District Attorney Fani Willis charged the former president and 18 allies with include racketeering. Moreover, they face several allegations such as attempting to alter voting machines.

The current bond agreement states that Trump is not allowed to intimidate codefendants and witnesses. Furthermore, he is not allowed to communicate the facts of the case with witnesses or codefendants, as well.

Trump has made several statements about the indictment, including a social media post targeting Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R). However, the current bond agreement states that he may not communicate with witnesses in person or on social media.

In other news, Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) lauded Texas’ strong job growth.

“Texas again outpaces the nation in annual jobs growth thanks to strong business investments and the best workforce in America,” said Gov. Abbott.

Recent July employment data showed Texas led the nation in jobs added over the last 12 months. The state has added 441,700 jobs from July 2022 to July 2023 and growing at an annual rate of 3.3%, above the growth rate for the nation as a whole of 2.2%.

Furthermore, the state reached record highs for total jobs and the size of the workforce, having the largest labor force ever in the state’s history at 15,078,400.

“As a result, more Texans are working than ever before. This unmatched economic momentum is proof that Texas is the Best State for Business, the best state for jobs, and the best state for opportunity. Business confidence in the productivity of our skilled and growing workforce and in the certainty of our state’s pro-growth economic policies is unrivaled,” said Gov. Abbott.
