Crenshaw Slams Biden Over Hamas Attack

Over the weekend, Hamas directed attacks against Israel, claiming Israeli over 800 lives and numerous kidnappings. Lawmakers have since released statements in support of Israel, criticizing the Biden administration in the process. Texas Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R) issued scathing remarks, blaming President Joe Biden (D) for strengthening Hamas.

Rep. Crenshaw, like other lawmakers, has taken to social media to affirm his support of Israel, warning that this war “will be the war to end all wars.”

Abu Obaida, the spokesperson for the armed wing of Hamas, issued a statement on Al-Aqsa TV, saying that Hamas had taken numerous hostages from Israel and transported them to Gaza.

“Today, our fighters managed to capture a large number of prisoners from the enemy forces and bring them to the Gaza strip,” he said on Sunday.

On social media, Rep. Crenshaw commented on how Biden has let down the people of Israel, explaining how Biden and “plenty of politicians on all sides” have determined “the conditions for wars.”

“Be vague about your willingness to stand up to your interests or your allies,” “naively believe that your enemy’s actions are actually your fault, and then try to buy them off (say, for example, with $6B to Iran, courtesy of Joe Biden),” “allow domestic political divisions to dictate who we deem to be an ally (ie ‘Republicans like Israel so we will be a voice for Palestinians!’).”

He went on to explain that “if you want to prevent wars, you need unequivocal moral clarity. If you want to deter aggression against yourself and your allies, you have to carry a big stick – and have no ambiguity about your willingness to swing that stick – and stop being naïve about the evils of the world.”

“America is ready to support Israel and once and for all defeat Hamas and deter future aggression,” Crenshaw concluded.
