Rep. Crenshaw Denounces Democratic Socialists of America’s Anti-Semitism

Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw (R) recently took to social media to denounce the Democratic Socialists of America’s blatant anti-semitism at a pro-Palestine rally in New York City.

In a tweet, Rep. Crenshaw tore into the racist and hateful speech, filled with anti-semitism, made by one of the rallying speakers. In the speech, the protester celebrated Hamas’ firing thousands of rockets at Israel.

“This is in New York City. Hamas supports the destruction of Israel, and the Democratic Socialists of America are perfectly fine rallying with people that praise Hamas’ terrorism. This disgusting antisemitism is excused and supported by the far left. It needs to end.”

Pro-Palestine support as well as anti-Semitism has been heavily criticized by voters and politicians.

Recently, Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stated her opposition to “bigotry and callousness” present at the Times Square protest. Furthermore, she called for a ceasefire and de-escalation.

In other news, as the Israel-Hamas war continues, Alabama Senator Tommy Tuberville (R) has reiterated his stance on obstructing the process of hundreds of military promotions from being confirmed by Congress.

The senator’s qualms come from a measure passed earlier in the year in which the Pentagon agreed that it would pay for service members, located in states where abortion is illegal, to seek abortion out-of-state.

“The Pentagon clearly thinks forcing taxpayers to facilitate abortion is more important than confirming their top nominees without a vote. They could end this situation TODAY by dropping their illegal and immoral policy and get everyone confirmed rapidly, but they refuse,” said Sen. Tuberville spokesperson Steve Stafford.

“If the Biden administration wants their nominees confirmed then Senate Democrats can do what Coach just did in September and file a cloture petition to force a vote,” said Stafford.

The funding has drawn criticism from many lawmakers and voters around the country. However, Sen. Tuberville’s blockade is also drawing the ire of politicians and military leaders.

Tuberville argues that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D) could call for each of the 300 nominations to have their own vote. Critics of this style of voting claim the process would be significantly longer.
