Hunt on Biden Border Crisis: 'This Was Always Their Plan'

Representative Wesley Hunt (R-TX) posted a video on social media that showcases that he predicted eight months ago that amnesty would be on the table as a solution for the migrant crisis at the southern border.

Along with the video, Rep. Hunt declared that he is not a “Nostradamus,” but simply “a Congressman from Texas.”

“I’m not Nostradamus, I’m just a Congressman from Texas. So how did I know some 8 months ago that mass amnesty would be the end-game for dealing with the crisis at our southern border? Because all the evidence points to it being intentional. PROBLEM. REACTION. SOLUTION. Biden opened the border by executive order. This was always their plan,” said Rep. Hunt.

During a House Judiciary Committee hearing, the Lone Star State congressman said that amnesty would be the result of President Joe Biden (D) opening the border upon taking office.

“Problem. Reaction. Solution. The administration created this problem, listened to the reaction, and I suspect they will present a solution. And that solution, ladies and gentlemen in the future will be an attempt at mass amnesty. There I said it,” said Rep. Hunt. “The real solution would have been to prevent this crisis from happening in the first place. And the Biden administration could have done just that.”

He continued, “If we’d have kept simple laws on the books and enforced the laws of this country; simple as that. The Biden administration is making a deliberate choice to not secure our border. And do you know how I know this is a fact? Because three years ago, we were having this conversation.”

Last week, Hunt released a video calling upon President Joe Biden (D), Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to take action at the southern border.

The Texas congressman pointed out that the results of former President Donald Trump (R) at the border are proof that President Biden is simply allowing the border crisis to happen.

“President Biden and Secretary Mayorkas deliberately created a crisis at our southern border. How do we know it was deliberate? Because under President Trump, we weren’t talking about more than seven million illegal alien encounters at the southern border,” said Rep. Hunt. “You see, we weren’t talking about enough fentanyl smuggled in to kill every single American. We weren’t talking about illegal aliens boarding flights all over the U.S. without valid ID.”

Congressman Hunt represents Texas’ 38th District.
