Rep. Lee on Border Crisis: Any Action from Biden is 'Too Little, Too Late'

Representative Laurel Lee (R-FL) appeared on Fox Business’s “Mornings with Maria” on Monday to discuss President Joe Biden’s (D) possible moves to address the border crisis as millions of illegal immigrants have crossed the border during his time in office.

Her message is that no matter what the President does, it’s “too little, too late.”

“Whatever President Biden is going to do tomorrow; he had the authority to do three and a half years ago,” said Rep. Lee. “Instead, he did the opposite and implemented policies and allowed this utter lawlessness at our southern border that has led to where we are today with millions of people coming into this country illegally and the myriad of problems that we see to America as a consequence of that.”

Rep. Lee continued, “So whatever it is that he intends to do, it is too little, too late and certainly appears to be only in response to the outrage of everyday Americans at the nature and the extent of this crisis.”

Furthermore, after former President Donald Trump (R) was found guilty on 34 counts in the Stormy Daniels hush money trial, Rep. Lee, someone that Trump called to primary, remained steadfast in her support for the former President in this instance.

"Today's verdict was the result of a political witch hunt supported by the very people who are supposed to hold our judicial system to the highest standard. Politically weaponizing our judicial system is not only intolerable, but should be condemned. A jury verdict is only as good as the information that was given to the jurors, and as a former judge and prosecutor, I believe the judge in this case wrongfully denied the defendant's motions to provide important evidence the jurors never heard that would have exonerated President Trump. I believe in the judicial system and the appellate process. This fight is not over," said Rep. Lee.

However, the Florida congresswoman has secured the endorsements of Sunshine State U.S. Senators Rick Scott (R-FL) and Marco Rubio (R-FL).

Sen. Scott described her as “a great conservative partner in Washington” and Rubio mentioned that she is “a powerful conservative voice” and “an effective advocate for families and the people of Florida.”

Rep. Lee is seeking her second term in Congress. She represents Florida’s 15th District.
