Cruz: Biden Has Invited 'Murderers' & "Gang Bangers' Into U.S.

On the heels of President Joe Biden's (D) executive order to curb illegal immigration at the southern border, Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) is sharing his concern over the ongoing crisis. Calling the United States "a nation of immigrants," Senator Cruz discussed his worry over illegal immigration during a Fox News interview. Slamming President Biden for his handling of the southern border, Senator Cruz warned that his policies have invited "murderers" and "gang bangers" into the country.

Earlier this week, President Biden issued an executive order, which has angered supporters who accuse him of emulating President Donald Trump (R) in his approach to illegal immigration.

His executive order significantly restricts asylum at the U.S.-Mexico border. The president's executive order enables border patrol officials to turn back migrants who have illegally crossed the border, and they would not have an opportunity to claim asylum once the number of daily crossings reaches 2,500.

Senator Cruz, who shared his own family's history of immigration, attempted to clarify that Republicans accept immigration, but it has to be done legally.

"There is a right way to come. You come legally," Senator Cruz told Sean Hannity this week.

"I am the son of a Cuban immigrant... My father came in 1957 from Cuba. He had nothing. He had been in prison, he'd been tortured as a teenager in Cuba. When he came to America, he came to Texas, he was 18, he couldn't speak English he was a teenage immigrant, he had a $100 in his underwear, and his first job was washing dishes - 50 cents an hour," explained the Texas Senator.

Despite this, he shared that his father became successful and that "that's the right way to come."

"Joe Biden and the Democrats, they don't want legal immigrants... They open it up. They invite every murderer, every rapist, every gang banger, every terrorist to flood across the border. "
