Trump Campaign Responds to Hunter Biden Guilty Verdict

This morning, Hunter Biden was served a guilty verdict on 3 federal charges. Hunter Biden now faces up to 25 years in prison. President Joe Biden (D) has issued a response to the verdict, accepting it and noting that he will not pardon his son. The Trump campaign has now responded to the verdict, dismissing it as a "distraction" and calling for further investigation into the Biden family.

President Biden issued a statement following the guilty verdict, affirming that he loves his son, and he is "proud" of the man he is today.

The president went on to state that he "will continue to respect the judicial process as Hunter considers an appeal." "Jill and I will always be there for Hunter and the rest of our family with our love and support. Nothing will ever change that."

Hunter Biden issued his own statement after the verdict, commenting that he is "more grateful for the love and support" of his family than he is "disappointed by the outcome."

President Donald Trump's (R) campaign has issued its own response, calling the verdict a red herring that detracts from other alleged crimes that the Biden family has committed.

In a statement, Karoline Leavitt, the Trump campaign National Press Secretary, argued that "this trial has been nothing more than a distraction from the real crimes of the Biden Crime Family, which has raked in tens of millions of dollars from China, Russia and Ukraine." “Crooked Joe Biden’s reign over the Biden Family Criminal Empire is all coming to an end on November 5th, and never again will a Biden sell government access for personal profit."

Donald Trump Jr. (R) also weighed in on the guilty verdict, echoing the claim of distraction.

"It's an illusion of justice. A decoy to distract from what they're actually doing," Trump Jr. wrote on social media. "It's all air cover for Joe Biden and his corrupt dealings."
