Abbott Argues Biden has Made 'Border Crisis Worse'

Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has prided himself on being at the frontline of the border crisis. The governor has been at odds with President Joe Biden (D) on the issue since the president's inauguration, and Governor Abbott has overseen the construction of a border wall in the state. After a string of crimes perpetrated by illegal immigrants have shocked the nation, Governor Abbott is warning that President Biden has made the "border crisis worse."

An illegal immigrant accused of raping a thirteen year old in New York City is reported to have crossed the border illegally at Eagle Pass, Texas in 2021. Earlier this year, state troopers took over Eagle Pass against the city's wishes in an effort to address the border concern.

During an interview with Fox News, Governor Abbott discussed the crime in New York, attributing it to President Biden's mishandling of the southern border.

"A thirteen year old would be unharmed today if not for the open border policies of Joe Biden, and also those aren't the only people harmed by people who've come across the border because of Joe Biden," the Texas governor expressed. However, the governor shared that President Biden has only made things worse by implementing a "new mass amnesty policy."

"What that shows to the entire world is 'come to the border as quickly as you can because it's possible that you too may be able to get amnesty. This is nothing more than a magnet that will actually increase illegal immigration."

Sharing the interview segment on social media, the governor elaborated that "President Biden has done everything he can to make the border crisis worse."

"His new mass amnesty policy tells the world that America’s borders are open. It is nothing more than a magnet to increase illegal immigration into our country."
