Roy Introducing Resolution to Discharge Biden from Office

Panic is surrounding the Democratic ticket as President Joe Biden (D) displayed a poor showing at last night's debate. Political pundits universally agreed that the president was not as sharp as Democrats vowed he would be, and the Democratic Party now faces a difficult future. In response to the incumbent president's debate performance, Texas Rep. Chip Roy (R) has announced that he will introduce a resolution to discharge President Biden from his duties and powers of his office.

After the debate, CNN conducted a flash poll, which showed that 67% of viewers believed that President Trump won the debate. In contrast, 33% of voters believed that President Biden won the debate. In the last 2020 presidential debate, 53% of viewers said they approved of President Biden's performance.

Subsequently, CNN commentators shared insight provided from Democratic operatives who called President Biden's performance a "disaster" and a "train wreck." This has only fanned the flames of talks that President Biden is unfit to sit in office, and now Republicans are emboldened to make the case that he should be discharged of his duties and powers.

Taking to social media, Rep. Roy announced that he would be introducing a resolution that would do just that.

"I intend to put forth a resolution calling upon the @VP to immediately use her powers under section 4 of the 25th Amendment to convene & mobilize the principal officers of the Cabinet to declare @POTUS is unable to successfully discharge the duties and powers of his office," Rep. Roy wrote on X.

After the debate, Vice President Kamala Harris (D) answered questions regarding President Biden's performance, countering the claims that it was a "disaster."

"People can debate on style points, but ultimately this election and who is the president of the United States has to be about substance, and the contrast is clear," she affirmed. "Look at what happened over the course of the debate. Donald Trump lied over and over and over again as he is want to do."
