Jackson Denounces 'Pathetic' Claims Trump Wasn't Shot

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R) and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D) have announced a bipartisan taskforce that will investigate the assassination attempt against President Donald Trump (R). The attempt at the president's life shocked the country, but some question the validity of his injuries, suggesting that President Trump was not in fact shot. Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson (R), who served as the president's physician, is now pushing back against the "pathetic" claims that President Trump wasn't shot.

In an exclusive interview with Texas Politics, Texas Rep. Jackson recounted the aftermath of July 13th, saying that "the president was leading by example."

"He didn't let anyone know if it was bothering him. I don't think it was, but if it was, he certainly didn't let it show," Rep. Jackson described. "He was himself. He was joking around and talking, and he's been talking about upcoming rallies... It's not gonna change anything for him."

When asked how the assassination attempt had impacted the president, Rep. Jackson admitted that President Trump has become more reflective about his life. "He also realizes that he was a centimeter from basically having his head taken off."

However, Rep. Jackson took issue with the president's detractors who question if President Trump was shot.

"You can see it. I'm so sick of this. Tell those people to cram it up their a**, seriously. He was shot on national TV," the Texas Republican commented. "Everyone watched it happen."

"There are multiple high resolution close ups of his ear after it happened. You can see it's covered in blood. There's a deficit in the top of his ear," he noted. "I mean, they don't want to admit that the President of the United States was almost assassinated just because they hate Donald Trump so bad. It's ridiculous. It's pathetic. They look like fools to be honest with you. Joy Reid and freaking Keith Olbermann and idiots like that have zero credibility."
