Rasmussen Polls Signals Voters Trust Trump on Key Issues

Vice President Kamala Harris (D) is picking up celebrity endorsements, but a new Rasmussen poll shows that voters don't entirely trust her on the top issues. President Donald Trump (R) has led in polling regarding certain issues, and a new Rasmussen poll indicates that voters continue to trust the president on key issues.

This week, Rasmussen released another poll that disturbed some lawmakers. The poll, questioning voters if they believed the world would be better off had President Trump been assassinated over the weekend, showed that 28% of Democrats agreed with the statement.

In the latest Rasmussen poll, voters were asked to pick the candidate they trust the most on the issues of immigration, the economy, and inflation. The poll, conducted on September 12th, questioned 1,000 voters, and it indicated that President Trump continues to be the candidate that is most trusted on these issues.

On the issue of immigration, 51% of those polled chose President Trump compared to 39% that chose Vice President Harris. On the issue of the economy, 47% chose President Trump, and 43% chose Vice President Harris. Finally, on the issue of inflation, 49% chose President Trump, and 40% chose Vice President Harris.

The poll also served as an indicator to see how voters stand after the presidential debate, and though President Trump has been criticized over his performance during the debate, the latest Rasmussen poll shows that voters are still listening to what the president has to offer.

President Trump's supporters have highlighted this issue, noting that the political debates are "political theater" and that voters are more concerned with the substance that the president has to offer.

Former Hawaii Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (I), who's endorsed the president, recently went on CNN to discuss this dichotomy.

"I think he's gonna continue to stay very focused on reaching out to voters, not taking a single person for granted, and talking to them about the issues that they care about most, that impact their everyday lives the most" she said when asked what President Trump would be doing in these next 47 days.

"We have two people running for president who actually have a record," Rep. Gabbard commented, adding that "it's not just about 'are these just empty campaign promises?'"
