Sessions Issues Warning of 'Dangerous' Future Under Harris

Texas Rep. Pete Sessions (R) is warning voters against granting four years to Vice President Kamala Harris (D). Citing her handling of the southern border, the Texas Republican laments that Texas is feeling the repercussions of her alleged inaction. In an interview with Texas Politics, Rep. Sessions questioned what Vice President Harris would do in the White House, warning that a "dangerous" future would be in store.

Vice President Harris is readying to take a trip to the southern border, but Republicans are dismissing the trip as political theater. While some polls indicate that the incumbent vice president is ahead of President Donald Trump (R), voters trust the president over her when it comes to policies.

Rep. Sessions, assessing Vice President Harris' handling of the border, slammed "the disaster that the Democratic Party, in total; not just the White House; not just Joe Biden" have created. With an "open border" faced with skyrocketing illegal entries, Rep. Sessions argues that "what they [Democrats] have done is a nightmare that is happening all across our cities."

Texas Politics spoke to Rep. Sessions this week, who said that Democrats from across the country are also to blame for the influx of illegal immigration. Alongside the aforementioned Democrats, he also mentioned New York Mayor Eric Adams (D), who is currently facing charges of bribery and wire fraud; New York Governor Kathy Hochul (D); and "the city of Chicago."

"All over the country it is a disaster, and we have now seen where the Venezuelans have taken advantage of this," he added. "Their gangs are spread around the country, and that story is being told not just by Republicans but by the Federal Bureau of Investigation," Rep. Sessions further commented. "The FBI has issued warning after warning after warning. These are dangerous gangs."

He referenced a recent story wherein members of Venezuela's "Tren de Aragua" gang took over an apartment building. Some have pushed back against the story, claiming it's false.

"They are dangerous gangs, and this is our future, and Kamala Harris is completely incapable of effectively seeing the connection between what they’ve allowed and what we’ve gotten," the Texas Republican warned.
