Rep. Pat Fallon: "House Republicans did our job. We passed a clean extension to keep the government open, fund our military, and protect America. The Democrats rejected it. This isn't about budgeting for them -- it's about political theater at the expense of our troops."

Attorney General Paxton: "John Cornyn is triple-dipping into public pensions and made a fortune as a career politician because selling out to Swamp lobbyists is the only thing he's capable of doing."

Senatorial Candidate Colin Allred: "The only people 'forcing our troops to work without pay' are people like [John Cornyn] who'd rather shut down the government than protect health care."

Rep. Greg Casar: "House Republicans are 'arguing they need to let troops pay lapse.' They aren't even showing up to work, and they're pressuring Trump to make sure our men and women in uniform miss a paycheck. All so they can cut health care for millions. Outrageous."
