Greg Abbott Champions TPUSA Club Expansion Across Texas Schools

Governor Greg Abbott (R) has highlighted the growing influence of Turning Point USA's (TPUSA) club America on Texas high school campuses this week, calling the organization essential to shaping the next generation of conservative leadership in the state.

Speaking alongside state officials and TPUSA representatives, Abbott urged students and educators to support the expansion of chapters across Texas.

"There has been no moment in time during the course of this century when there was such an urgency and need for an Organization like TPUSA and Club America," said Abbott. "They have helped to restore moral clarity, constitutional principles, and our founding values. I am grateful for the young men and women behind me and their peers across the state for stepping up and identifying themselves as the future leaders of the Lone Star State."

Abbott was joined by Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, TPUSA Senior Director Josh Thifault, Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath, and other state and local officials.

During his remarks, Abbott highlighted the role of Charlie Kirk, whose leadership he said helped broaden the conservative movement and energize youth engagement nationwide.

Texas currently holds the highest number of Club America chapters in the country, a point Abbot celebrated as a sign of both momentum and opportunity. He pledged continued state support to ensure that the program can "expand and flourish" on high school campuses.

Abbott also delivered a warning to schools that obstruct Club America's presence. Any campus that blocks participation or chapter formation, he said, should be reported directly to the TEA.

"An investigation will be opened, and disciplinary action will be taken if necessary," said Abbott.

In Abbott's and many of Texas's conservative leaders' views, expanding Club America is key to cultivating the next wave of Texas conservative leaders.
