Ken Paxton Launches Tipline for Illegal Voting Ahead of Primaries

With the March primary elections approaching in Texas, Attorney General Ken Paxton, who is running for Texas senator, has launched a new email tipline for reporting suspected violations of Texas election law, issuing a formal legal advisory focused on election integrity.

The Office of the Attorney General stated that the tipline will allow members of the public to report suspected voter fraud or other election-related violations directly to the agency.

In the advisory, Paxton cited concerns about demographic changes and alleged unlawful efforts to influence voter registration and election procedures.

"Significant growth of the noncitizen population in Texas and a pattern of partisan efforts to illegally weaponize voter registration and the voting process to manipulate electoral outcomes have created urgent risks to local, state, and federal elections," the advisory states.

The advisory outlines statutory requirements governing voter eligibility, registration procedures, ballot handling, and other provisions under the Texas Election Code. It also emphasizes that violations can carry criminal penalties, including fines and potential jail time.

Paxton has said his office will investigate credible reports of election misconduct.

"Under my watch, there will be no stolen elections in Texas. Free and fair elections are a cornerstone of a thriving republic, and with the authority granted to my office by the Legislature, we will stop at nothing to uncover and stop any illegal voting activity," said Paxton. "I invite all Texans to report suspected violations at our tipline. Your liberties and your representation in our government depend on secure elections. I will continue to protect the integrity of your vote and your voice."

The announcement comes as Texas prepares for its March primary elections, during which Paxton is seeking the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate against incumbent Senator John Cornyn and Rep. Wesley Hunt (R-TX). The rollout of the tipline and advisory places renewed attention on election administration and enforcement as early voting begins.
