Florida Not Part Of Texas-Led Lawsuit Against Obama’s Immigration “Fiat”

It was only a matter of time before detractors of President Obama's recent executive amnesty for illegal aliens actions filed a lawsuit against the measures.

During the 2014 Republican Governor's Association (RGA) annual meeting in Boca Raton, Florida, Texas Governor Rick Perry said that he expected a lawsuit would be file, implying that Texas Governor-elect Greg Abbot would be the person initiating the suit.

Perry was right, as Abbot has just announced that Texas and another 16 states will be suing Obama administration over the recent signing of the immigration executive orders that granted amnesty for millions of illegal aliens already living in the U.S.

During the RGA meeting, and before Obama officially announced that he would sign these executive actions, Florida Governor Rick Scott was asked him if his state would file a lawsuit against the President.

Scott responded by saying that he would wait to see what the actual actions called for before making any decisions.

Now that the actions have been signed, a source within Scott's administration has told the SHARK TANK that Florida "is not part of this" lawsuit.

While Florida is currently taking part in the Texas-led lawsuit against President Obama, it doesn't mean that Governor Rick Scott won't eventually join it, or file his own lawsuit.
