Senate Democrats vote in favor of infanticide, late-term abortion

Senate Democrats voted against two pro-life pieces of legislation that the Progressive faction of the Democratic Party has been campaigning against. Progressive Democrats prevailed in the U.S. Senate

The Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act and the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Act, which would protect babies that survive a late-term abortion and allow them to expire, failed.

Florida Senator Rick Scott (R) excoriated his Democrat colleagues in the Senate, stating that their opposition to these two bills showed “how far they have shifted in their stance on abortion” and support for “late-term abortion and infanticide.”

“Today’s votes should have been common sense – the unborn and newly-born infants are the most vulnerable among us and deserve to be welcomed with open arms,” said Senator Scott “By voting against these two bills, Democrats showed how far they have shifted in their stance on abortion. Today, Democrats stood for radical, late-term abortion and infanticide, rather than to preserve the right to life for defenseless children. Their decision is horrific and shameful. I will always stand for the unborn and oppose the radical abortion agenda of today’s Democrat Party.”

Texas Senator Ted Cruz (R) address the failure of the bills on the Senate floor, reminding Americans that this month was 47th “tragic anniversary” of the “Abortion on Demand” Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision.

Cruz called out the field of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, saying that some of the  “leading presidential contenders declare that pro-life Democrats are no longer welcome in the party,” many of them having embraced “extreme positions on abortion,” including infanticide.

Senator Susan Collins was the only Republican to vote against the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act .
