The tsunami of congressional endorsements continues to roll along for Vice President Joe Biden, as Texas Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D) becomes the 26th member of the Congressional Black Caucus to endorse him.

House Democrats and many statewide elected officials in many states have all fallen in line and have decided to shun Sen. Bernie Sanders and instead back the more “centrist” or “moderate” Biden.

"Today, I am endorsing Joe Biden for President. I know Joe Biden’s heart for America. I know Joe Biden’s heart for change. I know that he embraces new and diverse ideas that will move this country forward. And because of my work on progressive issues and my commitment to progressive and positive change, I see Joe Biden as the person to bring us all together."

According to Biden’s campaign, over “ 50 Texas endorsements, including Congressional Black Caucus members Eddie Bernice Johnson, Marc Veasey, and Colin Allred; Congressional Hispanic Caucus members Veronica Escobar, Sylvia Garcia, Filemon Vela, and Vicente Gonzalez; Austin Mayor Steven Adler and Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner; as well as Senate Democratic Caucus Chair Carol Alvarado and State House Democratic Caucus Chair Chris Turner.”

Even former Rep. Robert Francis ‘Beto’ O’Rourke has jumped on the bandwagon for Biden.
