The New York Times is in some hot salsa, not hot water, as it mistakenly referred to former HUD Secretary Julian Castro as “Raul” in one of their stores regarding President Donald Trump’s ongoing legal challenges to the 2020 presidential election.
The Communist Dictator in Cuba is Raul Castro, so you see how this could upset the Castro brothers. The Texas Castro Brothers (guess who is who in the picture above), not the Cuba Castro brothers.
Both Rep. Joaquin Castro (D) and Julian Castro, who are twins if you happened to be living under some rock and did not know that they were related, questioned it the misstep on Twitter, with Julian even hinted asking his brother if the story would have got it right the first time “if they had more Latinos in their newsroom” would this mistake have been made?
“Hey,@JoaquinCastrotx, you think if they had more Latinos in their newsroom things like this wouldn’t happen," asked he elder Castro
Rep. Castro responded to this brother by saying that the Democrat-only Hispanic Caucus in the House was going to be meeting with the Times to talk about “the lack of adequate representation” of Latinos at the newspaper.
"On Monday, the @HispanicCaucus will meet with the leadership of the New York Times @nytimes to discuss the lack of adequate Latino representation at the Times."
Castro and his Hispanic Caucus have been putting pressure or pressing an affirmative action maneuver on Hollywood and media outlets to hire more Latino workers to their ranks.
