Texas Republicans say Biden Was Warned by Law Enforcement of Potential Border Crisis

Earlier this week, thirteen members of the House Republican Caucus traveled to the Rio Grande Valley along the U.S. southern border with Mexico this past week to witness for themselves the illegal immigration “crisis” that is occurring along the border.

Reps. Jodey Arrington, Beth Van Duyne, Pete Sessions, Randy Jackson, and Pat Fallon, Brian Babin, and Michael Burgess were a few of the members that toured immigrant detainment and law enforcement facilities situated at the center of the crisis.

The delegation arrived in McAllen, Texas, and then went on to Laredo, but before traveling to Laredo, the members held a press conference at a state part situation along the Rio Grande river and just meters away from a park controlled by drug cartels.

Rep. Brian Babin (pictured), a self-described “ plain spoken guy,” said during a press conference along the southern border in McAllen, Texas that the current border issue was “one of the most serious issues that this country is facing,” calling the crisis “inhumane” and something that the Biden Administration could have avoided.

“They were warned by law enforcement that if they rescinded Trump’s immigration policies, a bad crisis could occur,” said Rep. Babin, who also added that these illegals were being “lured” by the rhetoric coming out of the White House.

Dallas-area Rep. Michael Burgess said that the “situation is not new, but what is new is how fast it’s gotten this bad.”

Another congressman, Rep. Randy Weber, who took several jabs at President Biden’s mental state over the 3-day border tour, called the “Biden border crisis” as “an absolute catastrophe, travesty.”

“Democrats have hung out the welcome sign to any and all illegals,” said Rep. Weber.

About 12 hours before the afternoon press conference, Rep. Arrington told Texas Politics that Rep. Louie Gohmert gave him and staffers a middle-of-the-night (2 am) border tour, where they were able to see illegal aliens stream across the border. Arrington said that the Gohmert's tour was eye-opening, to say the least.
