Rep. Crenshaw Attacks Democratic Policies

Texas Representative Dan Crenshaw (R) recently attacked various Democratic policies regarding drug prices and the economy.

“.@ScottGottliebMD is right. Democrats’ price controls are hurting the generic drug pipeline and intensifying drug shortages that endanger patient care and threaten our national security,” said Rep. Crenshaw.

Rep. Crenshaw criticized the Democrat’s policies as being shallow and insubstantial.

“The price of a drug won’t matter if it no longer exists because no one can afford to make it. Be careful when advocating for superficial solutions that seem nice at first glance but have very problematic unintended consequences.”

Rep. Crenshaw’s tweet came in response to Scott Gottlieb’s interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation”. In the interview, Gottlieb stated his belief that the Democrat’s policies were hurting drug prices.

Crenshaw also took issue with House Minority Speaker Hakeem Jeffries’s (D) statement that “right-wing” extremists were threatening to destroy the economy.

“It’s not “extremist” to say our debt trajectory is unsustainable and that we need to provide solutions to actually fix it. Commonsense policies like increasing domestic energy production, enacting work requirements for welfare benefits, and rescinding unused COVID funds are not crazy,” said the Texas lawmaker.

Crenshaw took a jab at President Joe Biden’s (D) economy, stating that it did not work.

“Also, Biden’s economy isn’t working for anyone. Stop pretending.”

In other recent news, new gun legislation finally passed the Texas House. House Bill 2744, which raises the legal age to buy a gun from 18 to 21, passed after much support from Texas lawmakers and citizens.

Over the course of several hours, many Texas representatives took to the podium to speak against the increasing gun violence in the nation. The representatives were joined by multiple family members of those who were tragically slain in mass shootings such as the Uvalde Massacre.

The bill has to pass through other measures before it can officially become a law, but it is still a major victory for its supporters.
