In the much-discussed Georgia case, the bond for former president Donald Trump (R) has been set at $200,000.
Trump was recently indicted for the fourth time for his efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election.
The specific charges District Attorney Fani Willis charged the former president and 18 allies with include racketeering. They face several allegations such as attempting to alter voting machines.
The current bond agreement states that Trump is not allowed to intimidate codefendants and witnesses. Furthermore, he is not allowed to communicate the facts of the case with witnesses or codefendants, as well.
Trump has made several statements about the case, including a social media post targeting Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R). However, the current bond agreement states that he may not communicate with witnesses in person or on social media.
In other news, Texas Senator John Cornyn (R) detailed a recent meeting between him and Secretary of State Antony Blinken (D) discussing Texas issues.
The opioid crisis continues to concern American citizens and lawmakers. However, a debate has been raised regarding where the drugs come from, with some stating they come from the border, while others claim they come from ports of entry.
Fentanyl continues to be the number one drug that lawmakers are concerned about.
Furthermore, the drug has caused several deaths in America.

Cornyn concluded his statements by expressing his desire for Blinken to work with him on pressing Texas issues.
“It is my hope that Sec. Blinken will work with me to these important issues. I am willing to work with anyone on commonsense policies that will actually secure our border, protect Americans from fentanyl overdoses, and ensure Texas receives the resources it is due.”
